Today we decided to go for a day trip to St Kilda Beach. We started with a stop at Skinner's Adventure Playground in South Melbourne. We had heard it was the best playground in Melbourne.... it wasn't!! It was very old and kind of a hodge podge of bits and pieces! The kids had a good time there but I wouldn't bother going back.
Then it was on to South Melbourne beach for lunch on the beach and a play in the water. The kids stripped off their pants and promised to only go in knee deep but they can't help themselves and ended up soaked! Luckily we know what they are like and always pack spare clothes!
After the play on the beach we headed to the St Kilda Pier for an ice cream and a wander. We were lucky enough to see some baby penguins on the breakwater which the kids were super excited about!
