Rickett's Point - 31 January

On the last Saturday of the school holidays we went for one last holiday adventure with our good friend's the Wades. We went to Rickett's Point in Beaumaris. We were hoping to find some creatures in the rock pools.

Found anything girls.......? Oh only some seaweed.

Ella wasn't feeling very well. She'd had her immunisations a few days before and had a temperature on and off for days. Just as we were getting ready to go to Rickett's Point she went downhill and was very shivery and lethargic. So we rushed her down to the local doctors and it turned out that her temperature wasn't anything to do with her imms she had tonsilitis and a chest infection!! Of course by this time everyone was packed and ready to go to Rickett's Point - we um'd and ah'd should we go, but she was really looking forward to it so we decided to go and see how she was. She actually wasn't too bad - we took the stroller so she didn't have to walk too much. I think this photo captures how she wasn't feeling well.

Well, we didn't find any creatures unless you count a dead crab! The kids had a wonderful time looking though and I guess that's all that matters!
It was still early so we went for a walk along St Kilda Pier - it was sunset as we got there and as you can see from this photo it was pretty spectacular!

We finished off the night with Gelato... yum!
