Harmony Day

Last Friday was Harmony Day which celebrates Australia's diverse culture.  Each year E's school has special assemblies in the morning and afternoon to celebrate.  The morning assembly included students from different backgrounds performing songs and dancing to showcase their culture.





The children are encouraged to wear clothing representing their background.  Here is E with his friends.

During the day the children did Harmony Day activities.  This year each child did a drawing of themselves then at the assembly a representative from each grade showed the rest of the school their grade's drawings.

Here is E's self portrait - he amazes me with his drawing everyday!  The photo below is the collection of drawings from his grade.  I think his really stands out!
