Yesterday on Ella's day off from school we went to play at her friend Sasha's house. Sasha had just learned to ride her bike without training wheels, so Ella decided she wanted to give it a go too. She doesn't really ride her bike that much so we hadn't even thought about taking the training wheels off yet. Sasha helped her get her balance and she was doing it quite well, so when Mark got home last night she wanted to take the training wheels off her bike too. We took her to the local park so she had some more space to ride and she did an awesome job!
E is not really interested in anything remotely sporting related but we asked him if he wanted to try without training wheels too. He wanted to give it a go but after less than 2 mins he declared "this is ridiculous!" and went to play on the playground!! He just doesn't have the same balance and coordination that Ella does.
Ella was so happy with herself and even this morning she said "I just can't believe I can ride my bike without training wheels!". Our baby girl is growing up way too quickly!

What an accomplisment I am so proud of her. Michael is like E...no desire to ride without training wheels either, sigh! Of course we don't have smooth roads or sidewalks, just a gravel/dirt driveway with lots of rocks and holes :o)
Ella is so gorgeous ... those photos are stunning - stack hat and all! LOL! Katie still has training wheels!
