Easter Weekend - Day 4 - Sunday 12th April

Day 4 was Easter morning.  The night before the kids took ages to go to sleep as they were all so excited!  The place where we were staying had the living areas upstairs and the sleeping areas downstairs.  When the kids all woke up they were all upset because they thought Easter Bunny had forgotten them!!  Luckily someone realised that Easter Bunny had left all his goodies upstairs!!

The boys waiting for everyone to be ready to go on the hunt!

Collecting eggs up the stairs....

Oh boy!! Look what Easter Bunny left for the kids!!!

Finding eggs.....

Ella with her egg haul......

Then we headed off to the Easter Festival at Churchill Island.  It has been advertised that there would be an egg hunt with over 30,000 eggs.  When we got there at 9.45am (15 mins before it was due to open) we were told that the first hunt would begin at 10am - the line to get in made it clear that we would not be getting any eggs in the first hunt!  When we finally got through the gates just after 10am we couldn't find any eggs - except this one that Ella found!!

Luckily at about 11am there was another hunt - they had a couple of guys running around with boxes of Cadbury eggs throwing them to the kids.  It was complete bedlam!! Especially the older kids stomping over the smaller ones.

This photo is the boys looking rather bored waiting for the hunt to begin!

And the hunt is on!!!

Show us your eggs kids!!

The kids had a go at some woodworking - Ethan made a racing car and Ella made a toolbox.

Then it was time for some face painting.  Ella wanted to be a dog.

And E got a Ben 10 Omnitrix painted on his wrist.

The kids enjoyed a Punch & Judy puppet show - I love the looks on their faces in this photo.

Then in the afternoon it was such a lovely sunny day that we hit the beach for some body boarding.
