Usually every Christmas Eve we got out looking at Christmas lights. Unfortunately this year it was absolutely pouring! We went for a bit of a drive and saw some lights but it wasn't quite the same as previous years where we have walked around. We did stop at this one house which is always awesome!
Then it was time for home to get ready for Santa to arrive! Here are the kids getting Santa's milk and cookies ready.
E has always loved drawing and at the moment he is really into making comic books. He made this one especially for Santa!
We tried to get a nice photo of them near the tree but they were just way too excited!
We weren't sure what time to expect them to wake up with all the excitement. They managed to stay in bed til 6.45am which I thought was a pretty good effort. Here they are first thing. E dressed as Spiderman in anticipation of his new Spiderman web shooter!!

After all the unwrapping it was time to try out all the new toys. Here are the kids trying out E's Spiderman Dart Tag.

The kids also got from Santa a new playground for the garden so we spent most of the day putting that together. Ella had a lovely time looking at and collecting bugs with her new bug collecting set.
We almost got the playground finished but not quite.
Then at 6pm it was time for Christmas dinner and some more presents at Gran & Pa's.
